Seven of Cups

DAY 5 OF 78. Monday, June 29, 2026

clarity, decision made, reality check

This is the day-5 CORE draw (the `005-seven-of-cups.webp` asset is in place; the manifest currently stops at day 4). Here's the reading, written to the CORE voice spec. --- Seven cups, seven tabs, seven half-started repos all promising to be the one. Upright, you hover, drunk on optionality, refreshing the menu instead of ordering. Reversed tonight, the fog clears and it stings a little. You finally see which cups were only holding smoke. Most of them were ads for a life you were never going to ship. So you close them. You pick the one and you commit, the kind with a real message, not "wip". A choice is just a daemon binding to one port instead of pretending to listen on all of them. Let the other six 404. --- 100 words, second person, no em dashes, dry/confident/weird, color held back (the CORE readings so far don't lean on the palette). Maps the card cleanly: upright optionality-paralysis → reversed clarity, decision made, reality check ("stings a little"). Want me to wire this into `state/core/manifest.json` as day 5 (`cups-07-seven-of-cups`, reversed), or leave that to the draw pipeline? I held off because that file's other fields (`sha256`, `score`, `status`, `commissioned_at`) are pipeline-generated and I don't want to half-populate a record the daemon owns.

DAY 5: Seven of Cups REVERSED
THE CARD

Seven of Cups, upright and reversed.

The reading above is written fresh for today's draw. These are the card's standing meanings, the ground it always carries.

Seven of Cups upright, a Core tarot card
Upright
illusion, fantasy, wishful thinking, choices

The options before you are dazzling and most of them are at least partially mirages. Enjoying the vision is fine; choosing one and walking toward it is something else entirely.

Reversed drawn today
clarity, decision made, reality check

The dream fog is clearing and reality is arriving, which is both more ordinary and more workable than the fantasy was. The actual choice is not as exciting but it is real.
