Four of Cups
DAY 71 OF 78. Monday, September 21, 2026
Here you are, lounging beneath a gilded sunburst, three cups of champagne lined up on the lacquered table and a fourth held out by a gloved hand you have not noticed yet. You have tasted everything this season poured, and it has all started to taste the same. That is fine. Even the peacock folds its fan to rest. But look up, darling. Boredom is a trick of the mirror; it shows you only what you already own. The new glass is right there, its rim catching the afternoon like gold leaf on a ziggurat. Contemplation is a luxury. Refusal is a habit. Know which one you are wearing tonight.
Four of Cups, upright and reversed.
The reading above was written for this draw. These are the card's standing meanings, the ground it always carries.
Something new is being offered and you are too absorbed in what you already have, or do not have, to notice. It may be worth glancing up.
The inner retreat is ending and you are becoming curious again, which is good. The world has continued happening while you were away and it has things to show you.
