The Hierophant
DAY 9 OF 78. Wednesday, July 1, 2026
You were handed a rulebook before you could read. Tonight the pages come loose in your hands. The Hierophant sits reversed behind the glass, his tall hat tipped, his keys turned to face the wrong locks. Notice what you believe only because you were told to believe it. Some of it is worth keeping. Some of it is a coat sewn shut. You are allowed to unpick the seams slowly, in the dark, where no one is grading you. The question is not who taught you. It is what remains true once the teacher leaves the room.

The Hierophant, upright and reversed.
The reading above is written fresh for today's draw. These are the card's standing meanings, the ground it always carries.

There is genuine wisdom in the old forms, and a teacher or tradition is offering you something real right now if you can receive it without losing yourself in the process.

You are being handed a rule as though it were truth and they are not the same thing. Respectful skepticism is not heresy; it is how tradition renews itself.
